Veneers

Dr. Rupenthal and assistant with happy patientCosmetic dentistry can drastically change the appearance of your smile and can help to restore your self-confidence. Perhaps you have a chipped tooth, wide gaps between teeth, stains, cracks, or uneven teeth. Veneers can change the surface of your teeth, making them look as good as new.

What are the veneers made of?

Porcelain veneers that are very thin ceramic shells. We securely bond them directly to the front surfaces of your teeth. The veneers are color-matched and custom-made, ensuring that you get a perfect smile.

How are veneers placed?

To place your veneers, we will first need to prep your teeth. To do this, we will scrape a small amount of enamel off of the surface. This ensures that there is enough room for the veneer. We will then use a permanent bonding solution to bond the appliance directly to your tooth.

Can I eat and drink normally with veneers?

Veneers are virtually stain-proof. You can enjoy wine, soda, coffee, tea, etc. You can eat and chew normally with veneers as well. While you will be able to enjoy your favorite foods, make sure that you are not biting your nails, pens, or other objects, as this pressure can damage your veneers.

How long will my veneers last?

Veneers can last for more than 10 years if you care for them properly. If your veneers become chipped or damaged in any way, come see us immediately so we can fix and replace them.

Am I a good candidate for veneers?

If you are in overall good oral health and want to improve the cosmetic look of your smile, you are likely a good candidate for dental veneers. Veneers are not good for people who are suffering from extreme tooth decay, and are not a suitable solution for covering up a damaged or unhealthy tooth. If you are suffering from decay or damage, we will address this issue before considering veneers.
